The 2018 World Cup is off to a drama-filled start in Russia with the first set of matches producing a number of shocking moments and results.

Five of the top six nations in the FIFA rankings failed to get a win including top-ranked Germany losing to Mexico; second-ranked Brazil drawing with Switzerland, and fifth ranked Argentina sharing the spoils with World Cup debutant Iceland.

What's more is that the two players widely regarded as the finest in football, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, produced contrasting performances. While Ronaldo delivered a memorable hat trick including a stunning late free kick against pre-tournament favourites Spain, Messi had a night to forget including a penalty miss against football minnows Iceland.

Against that background, we want to hear from you, our loyal readers, what has been the biggest shocker for you so far in the World Cup. Tell us in the poll below.
