Operatives from the Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA), as well as investigators from the Financial Investigation Division (FID) are presently conducting search and seizure operations in sections of Kingston and St Andrew.

The operations are another step in a major investigation into a multi-million dollar fraud allegedly being carried out by persons employed to the Ministry of Labour and Social Security.

It has been reported that employees there have been using their positions to defraud the ministry of funds by generating and facilitating fraudulent payments.

So far, investigators have seized or uplifted information from several documents and electronic devices which are believed to be of significant evidential value to the probe.

The operations continue, with Loop News following the developments closely.
