Victoria Mutual Wealth Management in association with the Mona School of Business and Management recently hosted its 2019 Post-budget Forum  at the Spanish Court Hotel.

The annual Forum provided an opportunity for important discussions and analysis surrounding the national budget and Jamaica’s fiscal programme.

This year’s panel, which consisted of Dr William Lawrence, Director, Professional Services Unit, Mona School of Business and Management (MSBM); Allison Peart, Country Managing Partner & Tax Partner, Ernst & Young, Jamaica and Rezworth Burchenson, CEO, Victoria Mutual Wealth Management, focused on various aspects of the budget and its impact. 


Dr William Lawrence (left), Director of the Professional Services Unit at Mona School of Business and Management has a chat with Rezworth Burchenson, Chief Executive Officer of VM Wealth Management. 

Lawrence, addressed issues related to capital expenditure and its impact on the national competitiveness strategy and Vision 2030.

In her presentation, Peart focused on the proposed review of taxation measures and its impact on revenue, while Burchenson examined investment options for individuals and organisations, in the context of the Government of Jamaica’s Recurring Expenditure.
