PHOTOS: Senators sworn in

Twenty-one senators were sworn in as the new session of Parliament opened on Tuesday at the Jamaica Conference Centre in downtown Kingston.

The more spacious conference centre is being used to ensure social distancing protocols are observed in the face of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Senators Swearing-In

Thirteen Government and eight Opposition members were sworn into the Senate. The Government senators are Senate President Tom Tavares-Finson; Kamina Johnson Smith - Leader of Government Business; Matthew Samuda; Aubyn Hill; Leslie Campbell; Kavan Gayle; Ransford Braham; Charles Sinclair; Don Wehby; Delroy Williams; Dr Saphire Longmore; Natalie Campbell-Rodriques; and Sherene Golding-Campbell.

Representing the Opposition in the Senate are Donna Scott-Mottley - Leader of Opposition Business in the Senate; Dr Floyd Morris, Sophia Fraser Binns, Damion Crawford, Norman Horne, Lambert Brown, Janice Allen and Gabriella Morris.
