It was truly a #NextLevel experience for the over 800 Sagicor team members who attended the biennial Sagicor Motivational Seminar (SMS) at the Montego Bay Convention Centre (MBCC) and the Iberostar Resorts.

The three-day conference last weekend, October 3-5, featured powerful speakers, including several Jamaicans, among them some of Sagicor’s outstanding team members, who dominated the main platform at the MBCC.

Several regional and international speakers were also part of the line-up, with American comedian and TV show host, Steve Harvey being the highlight speaker for the weekend.

Harvey was the closing attraction on the final day of the conference, delivering a solid two-hour talk about his personal journey to success. His presentation was the perfect recipe of inspiration, motivation, engagement and humour, as he had the audience hooked from his smoke-filled grand entrance on stage to Usher’s ‘Supermodel’.

The other main speakers were Dr Wayne Henry, Director General of the Planning Institute of Jamaica; Shani McGraham Shirley, CEO of Yahsuh Fitbox; Rochelle Gapere, Happiness Coach and Author; Regina Bedoya, President, Million Dollar Round Table and Raphael Saul, Motivational Speaker, Business Consultant, Attorney-at-Law and Corporate Trainer.

In addition to the main presentations, there were several panel discussions and workshops that focused on specific topics for targeted groups.

To top off the daily motivational sessions and workshops, there was also nightly entertainment for attendees to unwind and have some fun. Kicking off the opening night was the welcome cocktail reception, night two was a dancehall-themed party, and the closing night featured a children’s fashion show and a reggae concert with hitmakers Romain Virgo, Proteje and new reggae sensation, Lila Ike.
