PHOTOS: More than 20 hospitalised after bus, car crash in St Thomas

More than 20 people were rushed to hospital Monday morning following a motor vehicle crash on the Grants Pen main road in St Thomas.

Loop News understands that the crash involved a passenger bus and a private motor car. Reports are that some of the injured, including the driver of the ill-fated bus who was reportedly cut from the wreckage by fire personnel, are in serious condition.

The bus was reportedly travelling towards Kingston when it collided with the car. Preliminary reports indicate that the driver of the car may have drifted into the opposite lane.

There was a pileup of traffic along the roadway following the crash. See photos below.
