There are numerous reports of flooding in Clarendon as the island continues to be lashed by heavy rain associated with a trough across the western Caribbean.
Denbigh, Mineral Heights, 19 Miles, Freetown and Inglewood are among the affected areas, where a number of motor vehicles were observed submerged in rising flood water. Some homes have also been evacuated.
The Meteorological Service has issued a flash flood warning for low-lying and flood-prone areas in nine parishes including Clarendon. The other parishes are Kingston, St Andrew, St Thomas, Portland, St Mary, St Catherine, Manchester and St Ann.
