Created : 13 September 2017
Of all places, a Customs station at the Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA) was where a Kingston resident was allegedly held with lotto scamming-related identity information of overseas persons on Tuesday.
Ceon Adams was being processed by a Customs officer after arriving at the airport on a flight from Panama, when the discovery was reportedly made, the police said.
The illegal information was noted on electronic devices in his possession, which was reported to the Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA), resulting in Adams’ arrest and the seizure of the devices.
The accused man is scheduled to appear in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Friday.
