Palace cinema revises times in MoBay amid state of emergency

Movie lovers in Montego Bay, St James who enjoy a late show will have to go to the cinema earlier to watch films amid the state of emergency in the parish.

Palace Multiplex operator Palace Amusement Company Limited on Tuesday announced changes to the cinema's schedule between January 24 and 30,  with shows slated to begin earlier than the usual times.

"This is to facilitate the early closing of the cinema due to the limited state of emergency declared in Montego Bay," the company said in a press release.

According to the company, there will be only one show at Palace Multiplex on weekdays, at 5:30 pm. Meanwhile, there will be two shows on weekends - early Matinees starting from 3:30 pm and later shows starting from 6:30 pm.

Police announced last week that, as a means of containing the threat to public safety during the state of public emergency, there will be changes to the operating hours of businesses in St James during the security operation.
