One dead, teen among three injured in St James gun attack

One man was shot and killed and three others, including a 15-year-old student, shot and injured during an attack by gunmen in St James on Sunday night.

The dead man has been identified as 38-year-old Andrae Hall, alias Beenie, who was of a Flanker, St James address.

Reports are that about 11pm, unknown assailants attacked members of a group that was walking in the Top Hill section of Barrett Town and sprayed them with bullets.

After the shooters fled the scene, four persons, including the 15-year-old student, were found suffering from gunshot wounds and were taken to hospital, where Hall was pronounced dead and the others admitted.

No motive has been established for the attack. The Barrett Town police are investigating.
