Omar Walker looks set to land double for trainer Wayne DaCosta

Six-time champion jockey Omar Walker looks set to boot home two winners for trainer Wayne DaCosta on Saturday, his second day back in the saddle at Caymanas Park  after being out with a broken wrist for three months.

Walker returned to the winners’ enclosure on his first day back, last Saturday, winning astride champion trainer DaCosta’s ARMAGEDDON.

The record-breaking duo should get things started on Saturday’s 10-race card with ante-post favourite YAYA’S DREAM in the opening event.

Walker is also aboard DaCosta’s UNCLE FRANK in the fifth. However, the four-year-old gelding is up in class against a decent bunch of runners.

LOOSE CANNON, though, has a good shot at landing the ninth, taking on nine rivals at 1200 metres, an overnight allowance event in which his main threats are PROLIFIC PRINCESS and GARY GLITTER, both  stepping down in class from open allowance with grade one experience as well.

GARY GLITTER scored back-to-back victories in overnight and open allowance, last January and February, before beating open allowance again in April. He sparkled at exercise with a solid 1:14.0 for 1200 metres on Sunday.

PROLIFIC PRINCESS has also made her way back to overnight allowance after twice beating the class last year, March and August. She, too, has worked well, 1:14.4, last week Wednesday morning.

Despite their back class, GARY GLITTER and PROLIFIC PRINCESS don’t pack early pace and should fall victim to LOOSE CANNON, who was beaten in 1:17.4 by DWAYNE STAR, who will prefer today’s distance, 1200 metres.

Post time on the card is 12:10 pm.
