Omar McLeod clocks world leading 7.53 in Kentucky

Jamaican sprint hurdler Omar McLeod clocked a world leading 7.53 seconds to win the men's 60-metre hurdles at the Kentucky Invitational on Saturday.

McLeod, representing NIKE, started and finished strongly to beat Jamil Peeples of Arkansas State, who clocked 7.95.

DaJuan Seward of Ohio State clocked 8.01 seconds for third place.

McLeod had a good 2017 season and capped it off by claiming gold in the men's 110-metre hurdles at the IAAF World Championships in London.

He was also a winner at the 2016 Olympics in Rio.
