NICE: New ‘Wheels and Wheels’ for 75-year-old SDA Church in Porus

The Ramble Seventh Day Adventist Church in Porus, Manchester on Saturday had a grand service in of celebration of 75 years of existence.

The small rural district came alive when several worshipers travelled from near and far to participate in the special service.

The church first opened its doors back in 1944 under the leadership of Pastor Henry Paul Powell

During the historic service on Saturday, the church membership and the community at large were surprised by the donation of brand new Toyota Hiace bus, all branded with the church’s name, which was presented to Pastor Desmond Robinson by the CEO of Wheels and Wheels Auto Imports, Bencle Hibbert.

In his handing-over speech, Hibbert pledged his support for the church, and indicated that his company will license and insure the vehicle, and plus maintain it for the next 10 years.

Pastor Robinson, in accepting the keys, thanked Hibbert and said the bus will be responsibly used for   church and community business.
