People doing business at the Cross Roads Tax Office in Kingston will soon be able to do so in much more comfortable surroundings.
This as the Cabinet has given the green light for the purchase of land on the grounds of the Nuttall Memorial Hospital, for the construction of a building to house a new tax office. Government will acquire the land at a cost of $229 million.
The announcement was made on Wednesday by the Minister of Information, Senator Ruel Reid during the post-Cabinet media briefing at Jamaica House. He said other Tax Administration Jamaica offices will also be located at the site.
Persons doing business at the Cross Roads Tax Office have long complained about the cramped space and inadequate parking which makes doing business there less than desirable.
