NEPA probes possible fish kill in Rio Cobre

The National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA) is investigating a possible fish kill within the Rio Cobre in the vicinity of the Bog Walk Gorge in St Catherine.

In a news release, NEPA said it received reports of the possible fish kill at approximately 8 pm on Tuesday.

The environmental agency said it has deployed a technical team to investigate the report and will provide further updates.

The public is being advised not to collect the dead fish for consumption.
