My Elle Belle to outstay rivals in Errol Subratie Memorial
United States-bred three-year-old filly, MY ELLE BELLE, is the ante-post favourite to outstay her seven rivals in the Errol Subratie Memorial, Wednesday afternoon’s one-mile feature race at Caymanas Park.
Last time out, MY ELLE BELLE gave it away at the start on October 13, raring at the gate, which caused Oneil Scott to lose his stirrup while the Spencer Chung-trained filly ran wide at the sharp clubhouse turn.
However, she still managed to finish fifth, five lengths off the winner, FRANCIA’S PRIDE, who got the better off SUPERTRONICS and BRUCE WAYNE in a photo finish.
MY ELLE BELLE renews rivalry with SUPERTRONICS and BRUCE WAYNE, running out of her favoured mile chute where, in five races, she has won three, losing only to lone-speed horses, COMMANDER TWO and SUPER SPARKLE, who floored her at eight and a half furlongs in August.
She came back to turn the tables on SUPER SPARKLE in her very next race, beating him into third behind LICI’S PEPSI at seven and a half furlongs in September.
SIMPLY OUTRAGEOUS, ROYAL VIBES and BIRDIE MY LOVE are expected to be on the lead, setting it up for MY ELLE BELLE, who reports pretty light at 50.0 kilos with jockey Oneil Mullings.
The Errol Subratie Memorial feature is the seventh of 10 races schedule and runs off at 3:25 p.m.
First post is noon.
