A man was shot dead and his motorcycle stolen by gunmen along Slipe Road in Kingston on Wednesday night, as bloodletting continues unabated across the Corporate Area.

The deceased has been identified as Christopher Davis of a Yallahs, St Thomas address.

Reports are that Davis was driving his motorycle along Slipe Road about 10.30 pm when, upon reaching the intersection with Caledonia Avenue, he was attacked and shot several times by men traveling on another bike.

The gunmen then reportedly stole Davis' motorcycle and escaped.

The police were summoned and Davis was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.

That incident was among a number of fatal shootings in the Corporate Area on Wednesday.

Earlier Wednesday, in broad afternoon daylight, a woman was shot dead on Mountain View Avenue.

Marauding gunmen also shot a security guard dead at a Chinese wholesale in Stony Hill and stole a car before engaging  in a high-speed chase and shootout with the police in sections of upper St Andrew between the hours of 8 and 9pm.

The bloodshed continued about 8.45pm, when PNP Patriots member Kevin Brown was gunned down on Chesterfield Drive, which is located on the outskirts of Seaview Gardens.
