Mothers to be empowered at 'Moms and Mimosas'

On December 1, 2018, moms and aspiring moms will converge at The Serengeti, Hope Zoo for 'Moms and Mimosas'.

The inaugural event is an expansion of the Moms Can Relate brand created by Debbie Bissoon to allow mothers to share their experience in an honest and open way through weekly podcast interviews and social media.

“I did a YouTube series for Mother’s Day with Tami Chin, Janella Precius, Rasheen Robinson, Saudicka Diaram and I. The reception was massive as we held nothing back in relaying our stories from pregnancy to childbirth and beyond.  As a mom, I’ve realized that every day is ‘Mother’s Day’. This is how I add value and purpose to my time on social media by deliberately creating a village of support with real resource, not found in any book but through our very real everyday experiences as a mothers," Bissoon said.

Moms and Mimosas is dubbed as the pre-holiday mom event.

“Mothers are usually the ones who get caught in the hustle and bustle of the holiday. We are the ones who are usually concerned with the gifts, décor, holiday meals, organizing the family moments and more. Moms and Mimosas is our way to energize our moms in a fun and exciting way while we connect, share and indulgence within a reasonable time," she said.

The evening will feature mimosas on entry, stand up moms, mom challenge quiz, mommy confession booth, beauty and home-based product sampling, makeovers, fashion show and special guest performances.

Attendees are asked to bring along baby clothes, toys, books, diapers and wipes for charity

The cost for entry is $2,500. Email for more information.
