‘Most wanted’ Jamaican nabbed on arrival in Antigua

A fugitive from Clarendon, who was listed among the island's most wanted individuals earlier this year, was reportedly nabbed by security personnel in Antigua after arriving on a flight at the VC Bird International Airport on Friday.

He has been identified as 23-year-old Fitzroy Andre Coore, otherwise called ‘Bees’, of Farm district in May Pen, Clarendon.

He is reportedly wanted in Jamaica for a number of major offences.

The Antiguan media reported that Coore was apprehended during a joint operation between police and immigration officials at the airport.

He arrived on a LIAT flight from St Kitts, where he had been reportedly hiding out.

A woman was also reportedly taken into custody at the time of Coore’s detention, and was said to be assisting with the investigation into the development.

It's believed that arrangements are being made to have the fugitive escorted out of Antigua and handed over to the Jamaican authorities later this week.
