More declines than gains during last week’s trading

The Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) declined during the trading week down by 1.06 per cent to close with twice as many declining stocks than advancers.
Overall market activity resulted from trading in 104 stocks of which 22 advanced, 48 declined and 34 traded firm. Also, there were more double-digit declines over the period than gainers.
The top declining stocks included Dolphin Cove down 23 per cent to $11.62, JSE down 19.5 per cent to $15.10, Stationery and Office Supplies down 16 per cent to $7.17, SSL Ventures down 15 per cent to $1.70 and tTech down 13 per cent to close at $5.50.
Proven Investments gained 12 per cent to close at $31.63 and Radio Jamaica gained 11 per cent to $1.13.
The JSE Combined Index declined by 4,119.12 points (1.06 per cent) to close at 389,150.83. The JSE Index declined by 3,334.99 points (0.86 per cent) to close at 387,003.02.
The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index declined by 3,670.04 points (0.86 per cent) to close at 424,780.82. The Junior Market Index declined by 95.87 points (3.13 per cent) to close at 3,063.08. The JSE USD Equities Index advanced by 0.90 points (0.51 per cent) to close at 176.08. The JSE Financial Index declined by 1.17 points (1.18 per cent) to close at 99.36.
