Monitoring of public boards now more critical - Munroe
Created : 29 November 2019
Head of National Integrity Action, Professor Trevor Munroe says the composition of public sector boards will become increasingly important for national transformation and will require greater attention and scrutiny from the public.
He believes with a substantial increase in the number and quantum of public contracts, it behoved the public, including the media, to keep a watchful eye on the composition of the boards of public entities.
Munroe, who was addressing a public forum recently hosted by Press Association of Jamaica (PAJ) noted that the IMF Priority Action outlines that legislation to reform public sector entities should be enacted by December of this year.
