Missing mother and child found alive

Police in Spanish Town is reporting that their search to locate a mother and her one-year-old child who were reported missing for close to a week has ended on a positive note as the two were found unharmed.

The police last week activated a high alert for the child Jayden Elliot of Byles district, in Kitson Town, St Catherine saying that baby and his guardian were reported missing from Sunday, October 14

The Spanish Town Police report that Jayden and his parent were last seen in the Cherry Gardens housing scheme in St Catherine about 5 p.m., wearing a blue shirt and jeans pants.

News that the baby and his mother could not be found triggered a massive search between police and family members.

Police on Saturday told Loop News that the two were located and were safely at home.

"We received a call from family members to inform us that the two were found safe and have returned home," one officer from Spanish Town police reported over the weekend.
