Medical Disposables, Mayberry led gains during Tuesday’s trading

Medical Disposables and Supplies (MDS) and Mayberry Investments led gains on Tuesday’s trading of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).

MDS gained 18 per cent to close at $7.80 followed by Mayberry up 11.4 per cent to $9.90.

Pulse, on the other hand, led declines down 15 per cent to $2.55.

The JSE Combined Index advanced by 73.91 points (0.02 per cent) to close at 388,017.02. The JSE Index advanced by 16.04 points (0.00 per cent) to close at 385,569.16.

The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index advanced by 17.65 points (0.00 per cent) to close at 423,202.89. The Junior Market Index advanced by 5.37 points (0.17 per cent) to close at 3,079.67.

Meanwhile, the JSE USD Equities Index declined by 6.29 points (3.44 per cent) to close at 176.75. The JSE Financial Index advanced by 0.06 points (0.06 per cent) to close at 99.01.

Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 55 stocks of which 22 advanced, 24 declined and 9 traded firm.

Market volume amounted to 10,659,222 units valued at over $179,761,065.62. Sagicor X Fund was the volume leader with 2,113,240 units (19.83per cent) followed by Ciboney Group with 1,073,453 units (10.07per cent) and Scotia Group Jamaica with 1,049,510 units (9.85 per cent).
