A year and a half after launching its mobile app, Mayberry Investments Limited is reporting increased satisfaction among its customer base.

“The reception has been excellent. Our app usage is higher than 65 per cent,” said Damian Whylie, General Manager of Asset Management at Mayberry, during an interview with Loop News.

“We have seen a significant number of downloads since we released the app a year ago. As we have added new features, we have seen where those numbers are continually increasing”. Whylie added.

He said the company was committed to continuing the improvement of its product and service delivery and, he promised that there are tremendous things to come on this platform.

The most recent addition, an equities order feature, allowing customers to buy and sell stocks via the Mayberry Investments Mobile App.

Mayberry is the first brokerage house to offer this type of facility, where clients can readily obtain information about their investments accounts from their mobile device.

“This is purely a customer-service improvement objective, so customers do not pay any fees to use the app. Mayberry prides itself on being innovative, and this is just another element coming out of our dynamic culture” Whylie explained.

Previously, clients would go to the company’s offices for a statement that shows their portfolio in detail; that has now changed.

“With the app, at any point in time throughout the day, you can simply take up the phone, go online and your account statement is right at your fingertip,” the general manager shared.

When asked about Mayberry’s target group for the app, Whylie noted that the demographics of a Mayberry investor are evolving. Today, there is a strong emphasis on things digital and mobile. As such, “we need to be able to communicate with our client base in real time. It naturally follows that we need to meet the increasing demands of our clients and we feel that this is one way that we can do that”.

The Mayberry app has the following features: Available on both Android and iOS platforms.

  • My Portfolio: displays a list of all a client’s accounts held at Mayberry along with their total values in JMD.
