Mayberry Investments led gains during Monday's trading
Mayberry Investments led double-digit gains during Monday’s trading on the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
Mayberry gained 12.4 per cent to close at $9.44, followed by Sygnus Credit which gained 8.8 per cent to close at US$0.10. The top declining stock was Jetcon down 7.3 per cent to close at $2.30.
The JSE Combined Index declined by 644.81 points ( 0.16 per cent) to close at 412,287.10.
The JSE Index declined by 977.87 points ( 0.24 per cent) to close at 411,762.43. The Junior Market Index advanced by 23.23 points ( 0.76 per cent) to close at 3,098.42. The JSE USD Equities Index declined by 3.27 points ( 1.79 per cent) to close at 178.95. The JSE Financial Index declined by 0.15 points ( 0.14 per cent) to close at 103.76.
The overall Market activity resulted from trading in 60 stocks of which 28 advanced, 19 declined and 13 traded firm. Market volume amounted to 4,091,784 units valued at over $114.3 million. Sagicor Group was the volume leader with 1,513,718 units (37 per cent) followed by Pulse Investments with 369,888 units (9.04per cent) and Barita Investments with 321,376 units (7.9 per cent).
