Campari Pop Style, a free entry party series in which the liquor brand rewards the most fashionable attendees, will make its second stop in May Pen, Clarendon at Something Fishy this Saturday, October 14.
This edition of Campari Pop Style will be led musically by the “party animal” Kurt Riley, and feature the “Fluffy Diva” Miss Kitty as the host, with resident judges, designer and stylist Balla Shawn and stylish publicist and author, Alykhat.
Joining the judging panel as guest judge will be menswear designer Carlton Brown, who said he expects “style and finesse” from the attendees and participants for the May Pen leg of the series.
“Fashion is a serious thing, and not a joke business. I am asking for those who choose to enter the competition not to drop the ball," Brown said.
"This is not a poppy show, and if anyone enters as a clown they will be getting a red nose from me. I expect the ladies to be stylish from polish on their toes to the clips in their hair, and for the men to represent themselves clean on the stage with vibes. I want everyone to own the runway and be ready to Pop Style!" he said.
Similar sentiments were shared by fellow designer Balla Shawn, who said “We are not looking for anyone dressed like a mascot. Please come out clean, chic, and well dressed in creative pieces."
