Market at the Lawn has for the past 10 years been a one-stop experience for holiday shoppers.

Described as an open-air flea market, the event conceptualised by Kaili Scott provides local artisans and entrepreneurs who are unable to afford a storefront with the opportunity to showcase their products to generate income over the season while in turn encouraging persons to support local.

This year, the event that started in the front yard of a property on West Kings House Road will celebrate 10 years of growth which according to Project Manager Annette McDonnough.

"We have so many different artisans, who make such incredible products and by having Market at the Lawn, we are playing our part to get their products into the hands of everyday Jamaicans" shared McDonnough.

National Commercial Bank, which recently launched its “Gratitude Project” will for the third year be the official financial partner providing a centralised payment station to make shopping more convenient.

Senior Marketing Officer at NCB Joseph Montaque explained that The Gratitude Project was launched by the company as a way to say thank you to their loyal customers for choosing them as well as to motivate Jamaicans on a whole to express gratitude during the Christmas season and beyond.

“The project will extend to Market at the Lawn, as we will be providing some of our customers and staff who are entrepreneurs with booth spaces to showcase their products at the event at no cost,” shared Montaque.

The event will be held on Sunday, December 15 and 22 on the East Lawn of Devon House

Over 100 exhibitors have signed up to participate over the two days which include T & T Fashions, Salon Innovations, Kitty Klenz, My Old Man Leather Craft, Vicki Silvera, Crazii Socks and The Life Store.
