People's National Party (PNP) candidate for South St Andrew, Mark Golding has expressed concern about the length of time it has been taking some persons to vote using the electronic voting system.

"Some of the voters have complained that the new fingerprint system was moving slow," Golding told Loop News as he made his way from the Charlie Smith High school.

Golding however said he was encouraged by what he has seen so far, despite what appears to be low voter turnout, in the constituency.

"The turn out has been slow but the people are coming out and I am confident," he added.

Golding became the PNP's representative for the constituency following the retirement of former MP Dr Omar Davies.
