Margaritaville shot up 30%
Margaritaville Turks, Berger Paints, IronRock and Pulse Investments led gains in Friday's trading of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
Margaritaville gained 30 per cent to close at US$0.34; Berger gained 15 per cent to close at $19.55; Ironrock gained 13 per cent to close at $3.40 and Pulse gained 10 per cent to close at $12.32.
On the losing end, Access Financial and Jamaican Teas declined 12 and 11 per cent respectively.
The JSE Combined Index advanced by 432.40 points (0.17 per cent) to close at 254,584.32.
The JSE Index advanced by 771.26 points ( 0.32 per cent) to close at 238,480.84. The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index advanced by 846.50 points ( 0.32 per cent) to close at 261,746.65. The Junior Market Index declined by 26.72 points ( 0.81 per cent) to close at 3,252.86. The JSE USD Equities Index advanced by 6.16 points ( 2.90 per cent) to close at 218.77.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 46 stocks of which 24 advanced, 18 declined and four traded firm.
Market volume amounted to 6,286,026 units valued at over $126 million. 1834 Investments Limited was the volume leader with 1,141,499 units (18.16 per cent) followed by GraceKennedy Limited with 1,002,700 units (15.95 per cent) and PanJam Investment Limited with 545,610 units (8.68 per cent).
