Man’s body found hanging from tree in St Ann

Police investigators in St Ann are seeking the public's assistance with their probe of the suspected suicide of a male in Roaring River in the parish on Thursday.

The deceased man has not been identified, according to the police.

The body is suspected to be in the late 30s, is of dark complexion, and is about 187 centimetres (six feet two inches) tall.

Lawmen added that the body was clad in a grey shirt and a pair of blue jeans.

Reports are that about 11:40 a.m., residents found the body of the man hanging from a tree with an electrical wire around the neck.

The police were alerted to the scene and on their arrival, the body was cut down and taken to the morgue after the scene was processed.

A post-mortem examination is to be conducted.
