Manchester woman charged with murdering her common-law husband

The 51-year-old woman who was accused of stabbing her common-law husband to death in Manchester earlier this week, has been charged with murder.

The Manchester police said the woman, Miriam Jackson of Woodland district, was slapped with the charge on Monday.

Reports are that on October 8, Jackson and her common-law husband, 40-year-old Oneil Coleman, a farmer of the same community, got into an argument, which escalated into a fight.

During the incident, a knife was reportedly brought into play, and Coleman was stabbed in the neck.

Jackson was later arrested.

She is set to appear in the Manchester Parish Court on Friday, October 12.
