Police say they have apprehended a man who they suspect is in the business of making and selling guns to criminals across the island.

 

 Police say the man who is from Springfield District in Buff Bay Valley, Portland, was apprehended after ironically turning up at a hospital suffering from gunshot wounds to some of his fingers.The suspect told police that he was shot by armed men during a robbery.

 

The man claimed that during the robbery he placed a hand over the muzzle of a gun held by one of his attackers who then opened fire hitting him on the hand.

 

Police said they carried out an investigation which revealed something opposite to what the man had reported.

 

Police said their probe pointed to the man being allegedly involved in the production of homemade handguns, which are reportedly sold to criminals.

The police have since concluded that the man blew off sections of some of his fingers while creating one of his products, which went off and injured him.
