A 28-year-old man who was shot dead at the Santa Cruz Market in St Elizabeth, was among at least three people killed in separate incidents across three parishes within less than 24 hours late last week.

The incidents occurred in St Elizabeth, Kingston and St Catherine.

The deceased men have been identified as 28-year-old Chensie Chambers of Coke View, Santa Cruz, St Elizabeth; 41-year-old Courtney Moodie of White Lane, Kingston 11; and 30-year-old Jeffrey Daniels of Mount Pleasant in Brown's Hall, St Catherine.

In the first incident, Moodie was gunned down by unknown assailants at about 7:55 p.m. on Friday in the Kingston 11 area.

Less than two hours later in St Elizabeth, Chambers was at a bar in the Santa Cruz Market among other patrons at about 9:30 p.m., when a man walked up and pulled a firearm.

He then shot Chambers before fleeing the scene.

Chambers was assisted to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The bloodletting continued in St Catherine when Hall was shot and killed by gunmen along the Point Hill Main Road at about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Police in the respective parishes are probing the incidents.
