Man charged for allegedly robbing students at gunpoint

A St Ann man who is accused of robbing three students at gunpoint as they walked on a footpath in Browns Town in the parish on Thursday, October 3, was charged by detectives on Thursday, October 24.

He is 21-year-old Marlon Cunningham, a bus conductor of Cave Valley and York Castle Drive, St Ann.

The allegations, as reported by the Brown’s Town police, are that about 7pm on October 3, Cunningham held up and robbed the students at gunpoint.

A report was subsequently made to the police, and an investigation was launched.

Cunningham was arrested during a police operation on October 10.

He was subsequently placed on an identification parade, and was pointed out by the complainants.

He was later charged with robbery with aggravation and illegal possession of firearm.

He is scheduled to appear in the St Ann Parish Court on Monday, October 28.
