Man believed to be of unsound mind chopped to death in St Ann’s Bay

Investigators assigned to the Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) at the St Ann's Bay Police Station are searching for the persons responsible for the hacking to death of a man, who was said to be of unsound mind, in the parish capital on Thursday morning.

The man’s body was discovered along a section of the roadway in the parish early in the morning.

Reports are that about 6:00 a.m., passers-by saw a bloodied body along Main Street in the town at the door of a prominent business place, and summoned the police.

On their arrival, the police saw the body with multiple chop wounds to the head.

Investigators are expected to sources video footage from business establishments in the area, to assist in tracking down the killers.

No motive has yet been established for the killing.
