Loop partners with Digicel for Portmore Health Fair
As the back to school period approaches and the flu season encroaches, there is always a heightened need for medical attention and services.
Nurses and employees from the Spanish Town Hospital, in partnership with the Royal Gems Productions, joined forces to host the first staging of the Portmore Health Fair at the Portmore Mall on Saturday, July 27th.
The team of nurses, including both local and international practitioners, set out under their respective tents early Saturday morning as they anticipated a large turnout. On offer was an amazing deal of $1,000 for five medical checks ups including school medicals, hypertension, diabetes, dental & eye checkups.
While rows of children accompanied by adult supervision sat with school medical forms in hand and waiting for assistance, others were being taught under the busy dental tent about the basic ways to care for their oral health and, in a distant tent, persons lined up to get their eyes tested.
“It is a pleasure partnering with Loop and Digicel to launch our first Portmore Heath Fair. It was our desire to give back to the Portmore community which we are all a part of. This is the first of many to come and we look forward to the continued support!” highlighted Lorna Brown, the event team leader
