The old adage rang true: If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen, or the Jamaica Food and Drink Festival (JFDF) Picante for that matter.

JFDF organisers offered a middle-eastern-themed affair that provided scrumptious fare, bursting with essences and spices of the fusion kind at the South Lawns at the historic Devon House in Kingston.

The "not for the faint of tongue..."-touted event was truly exceptional. Patrons turned up in droves to sip and savour the flavours of the Mediterranian, Asia, and the South Pacific via 18 culinary personalities, local restaurants, and foodie enterprises like Tortuga Rum, Häagen-Dazs, and Jamaica Producers to name a few.

Loop Lens photographer Llewelyn Wynter captured the highlights.
