Lasco Financial, ISP Finance and Pulse Investments led with double-digit gains in Monday's trading session of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
Lasco Financial gained 20 per cent to close at $5.05 on the day. It was followed by ISP Finance, up 16.2 per cent to $27.99, and Pulse, up 10 per cent to $13.62.
The top declining stock went to Caribbean Cream, dipping 11 per cent to $7.52 .
The JSE Combined Index advanced by 930.96 points (0.37 per cent) to close at 255,515.28.
The JSE Index advanced by 194.42 points (0.08 per cent) to close at 238,675.26.
The Junior Market Index advanced by 71.57 points (2.20 per cent) to close at 3,324.43. The JSE USD Equities Index declined by 0.45 points (0.21 per cent) to close at 218.32.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 50 stocks of which 24 advanced, 19 declined and seven traded firm.
Market volume amounted to 10,311,290 units valued at over $109.2 million. General Accident Insurance Company (JA) Limited was the volume leader with 1,972,996 units (19.13 per cent) followed by 1834 Investments Limited with 1,785,370 units (17.31per cent) and Lasco Distributors Limited with 1,281,181 units (12.43 per cent) .
