Kremi led gains during Friday's trading
Caribbean Cream Limited (KREMI) led gains during Friday’s trading day of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
KREMI gained 11.32 per cent to close at $6.00, followed by Sygnus Credit Investments Limited USD Ordinary Shares up 9.34 per cent to close at $0.11. The day’s largest declining stock was Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited, down 9.92 per cent to close at $40.33.
The JSE Combined Index declined by 7,873.92 points (2.03 per cent) to close at 380,166.80. The JSE Index declined by 8,702.74 points (2.26 per cent) to close at 375,826.72. The Junior Market Index advanced by 10.84 points (0.34 per cent) to close at 3,179.06. The JSE USD Equities Index advanced by 4.95 points (2.98 per cent) to close at 171.32.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 51 stocks of which 18 advanced, 26 declined and 7 traded firm. Market volume amounted to 6,886,474 units valued at over $165,239,664.37. Sygnus Credit Investments Limited USD Ordinary Shares was the volume leader with 5,000,000 units (72.61 per cent) followed by Mayberry Investments Limited with 1,715,395 units (24.91%) and Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited with 1,388,644 units (20.16 per cent) .
