Knutsford Express led gains during Monday’s trading
Knutsford Express led gains on Monday’s trading of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
The stock gained 15.6 per cent on the day to close at $14. It was followed by Scotia Group Jamaica (SGJ) up 6.0 per cent to close $53.78, and Mayberry Investments up 5.0 per cent to $5.77
The JSE Combined Index advanced by 1,902.48 points ( 0.64 per cent) to close at 300,386.67. The JSE Index advanced by 2,179.93 points (0.75 per cent) to close at 292,612.59. The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index advanced by 2,392.60 points ( 0.75 per cent) to close at 321,159.47. The JSE Select Index advanced by 132.05 points ( 1.51 per cent) to close at 8,859.85. The Junior Market Index declined by 9.64 points ( 0.33 per cent) to close at 2,872.23. The JSE USD Equities Index declined by 0.91 points ( 0.54 per cent) to close at 169.13. Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 47 stocks of which 21 advanced, 20 declined and 6 traded firm.
Market volume amounted to 18,985,860 units valued at over $210,401,674.64. Caribbean Producers Jamaica Limited was the volume leader with 11,036,816 units (58.13 per cent) followed by JMMB Group Limited with 3,017,431 units (15.9 per cent) and Ciboney Group Limited with 809,577 units (4.26 per cent)
