Knife-wielding female teenager picks up two-year sentence for robbery

An 18-year-old girl who pleaded guilty to robbing a woman at knifepoint earlier this week, was on Thursday slapped with a two-year prison sentence.

The incident took place on Sunday morning in Eastern Kingston.

Kadie Henry pleaded guilty in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court.

Reports from the police were that shortly after f5:00 a.m., the woman was walking along St Thomas Boulevard, when she was accosted by the teenager and some of her friends.

The teenager brandished a knife and robbed the woman of a cell phone, bank card and a $100 in cash.

Following investigation by the police, Henry was arrested and charged and placed before the court.
