Kingston Properties led gains during Friday’s trading
Kingston Properties Limited (KPREIT) led gains on Friday’s trading of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
KPREIT gained 15.76 per cent to close at $5.95, followed by Caribbean Cement Company Limited (CCC), up 4.73 per cent to close at $44.98. The day’s largest declining stock was General Accident Insurance Company Jamaica Limited (GENAC), down 16.25 per cent to close at $3.35.
The JSE Combined Index advanced by 1,929.61 points (0.52 per cent) to close at 369,728.47. The JSE Index advanced by 2,630.85 points (0.73 per cent) to close at 363,882.98. The Junior Market Index declined by 44.24 points (1.35 per cent) to close at 3,227.39. The JSE USD Equities Index closed at 159.87.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 54 stocks of which 20 advanced, 25 declined and 9 traded firm. Market volume amounted to 74,579,683 units valued at over $353,807,156.35.
Stanley Motta was the volume leader with 33,898,200 units (45.45 per cent) followed by SSL Venture Capital Jamaica Limited Ordinary Shares with 24,025,000 units (32.21 per cent) and Key Insurance Company Limited with 12,070,405 units (16.18 per cent) .
