Kingston Night Market is back!

Kingston Night Market is back!

Kingston Night Market is back!

Tuesday nights are live yet again with the return of Kingston Night Market (KNM), at the weekly artisan showcase in St Andrew.

KNM was among the countless social events that were cancelled or postponed in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

And, much like the other events that have since been greenlit and set to re-open – social distancing and sanitisation guidelines observed – the 13 Hillcrest Avenue nighttime shopping affair is live this evening.

The Kingston Night Market crew, led by its producer Hyacinth McDonald, are ready to re-open the gates after closing for COVID-19 near six months ago.

Guests are welcomed between the hours of 5 pm and 10 pm.

According to McDonald, live entertainment is a key factor of the event. And, to sweeten the deal each week, her and her team cherry-pick up-and-coming artistes (themselves exhibitors at times), who provide entertainment.

Recognised as Jamaica's premier night market, the weekly creative artisan expo oft introduces over 60 vendors and creative talent from a cross-section of disciplines.

Each week, exhibitors turn up to showcase their handiworks, promote their businesses and network, network, network.

If you're not ready to socialise just yet, McDonald recommends tuning in to KNM online to see more of the products and Jamaican-made items you love.

KNM goes live online on Tuesday, August 11.

Prior to re-opening, several live sessions were streamed online via Instagram.
