KC continue goal spree in Manning Cup with 11-0 victory over Ardenne

Kingston College (KC) turned up the heat on Match Day 8 of the 2018 ISSA/Digicel Manning Cup schoolboy football competition on Friday with an 11-0 thrashing of Ardenne High at the Stadium East field.

The victory extended KC's perfect record this season to four straight. KC have also recorded big victories in their other three games, beating Dunoon High 8-0 in their opening match of the season on September 10, winning 5-0  against Clan Carthy High at Franklin Town Sports Complex on September 15 and winning 4-0 at Calabar High on September 18.

KC have now moved to maximum 12 points to lead Group B courtesy of goal difference over second-place Mona High, which also extended their perfect record after scoring a 2-0 away victory against Dunoon High at Rockfort Football Club.

Two other teams extended their perfect records as St George's College won 1-0 at Papine High and St Catherine High recorded the day's second biggest victory, beating Penwood High 7-0 at Cling Cling Oval.

St George's College have now moved to maximum 12 points to lead Group A by two points from last year's beaten finalists St Andrew Technical High School (STETHS), which had their perfect record smashed as they were held 1-1 by visitors Cumberland High.

St Catherine High's victory pushed them to maximum nine points as they continue to lead Group E courtesy of goal difference from Excelsior High, which beat Haile Selassie High 3-1.
