Cop’s teenage son killed in his presence in St James Loop News Created : 10 January 2018 Jamaica News A son of a police corporal who is assigned to the Trelawny Police Division was shot and killed when gunmen sprayed his father's motor vehicle with bullets along a roadway in St James on Tuesday night. The deceased has been identified as 16-year-old Cornwall College student, Mark Williams. Reports are that about 9:45 p.m., the cop went to pick up his son who was returning from bible studies, along the Meadows of Irwin main road in St James. Gunshots rang out as the boy was about to enter the vehicle, and he ran off. The corporal took evasive action and returned the fire, and the gunmen fled the scene. However, it was later discovered that the cop’s son received one shot in the region of his chest. He was rushed to the Cornwall Region Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment. The St James police are investigating the incident.
