Donald Quarrie High School's Principal, Talbert Weir and members of the football team recently welcomed a visit from the Jamaica Private Power Company (JPPC).

JPPC’s CSR committee led by Patrice Howell handed over a cheque valued at $140,800 to help offset the cost of gears.

The support from the Windward Road energy plant came in response to requests from the school’s sports committee in preparation for the 2019/2020 Inter-Secondary Sports Association (ISSA) competitions.

Donald Quarrie High School, which was named after the nation's 1976 Olympic icon is currently on a path of energising the school's culture to encourage and develop the social attitude of the students attending the 44-year-old institution.

JPPC has supported the institution in the past with renovation of their library and continues in the footsteps of its sister company the Jamaica Energy Partners in being stalwarts of the communities within which it operates with a focus on the environment, health, education and sports development.
