Jetcon gains 16.7 per cent during Wednesday's trading
Jetcon Corporation led gains and Eppley Group lost big on Wednesday’s trading of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
Jetcon gained 16.7 per cent to close at $1.95. It was followed by Blue Power Group which gained 11 per cent to close at $5.51, and the JSE Group’s shares which gained 10.5 per cent to close at $33.25.
Eppley lost 24 per cent to close at $13.01 and KLE Group gained 19 per cent to $1.70.
The JSE Combined Index declined by 2,197.70 points ( 0.46 per cent) to close at 475,510.30, while the JSE Index declined by 2,609.37 points ( 0.54 per cent) to close at 480,912.95.
The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index declined by 2,871.43 points ( 0.54 per cent) to close at 528,121.69. The Junior Market Index advanced by 18.46 points ( 0.61 per cent) to close at 3,066.47. The JSE USD Equities Index declined by 0.16 points ( 0.09 per cent) to close at 187.15.
The JSE Financial Index declined by 1.08 points ( 0.83 per cent) to close at 129.01.
The overall market activity resulted from trading in 70 stocks of which 32 advanced, 28 declined and 10 traded firm.
Market volume amounted to 78,875,465 units valued at over $333 million. Wigton Windfarm was the volume leader with 59,443,574 units (75.36 per cent) followed by Eppley Limited with 9,631,915 units (12.21 per cent) and Lasco Manufacturing with 3,653,139 units (4.63 per cent).
