Jealousy behind Trelawny double murder?

Information is emerging that the gruesome murder of a male and a female in the parish of Trelawny on Friday may have stemmed from jealousy.

The deceased persons are 50-year-old Sophia Bryan, otherwise called ‘Carol’, and 28-years-old Junior Bailey, also called ‘Bad Walk’, both of Freeman's Hall, Ulster Spring, Trelawny addresses.

Informed sources have indicated that the nude bodies of Bryan and Bailey - both riddled with stab wounds - were found on a bed in a house in their community. The house was reportedly Bryan’s place of abode.

The Trelawny police have since taken into custody a man who was named as a person of interest in relation to the killings.

Reports on the murders are that about 4 am on Friday, the police were called after the bodies of Bryan and Bailey were found in the house.

The police subsequently named Garfield Edwards, otherwise called ‘Milo’, also of Freeman’s Hall, as a person of interest in relation to the development.

Bryan reportedly had an intimate relationship with Edwards, but it was recently severed.

Edwards was said to have been held by the police in a nearby community on Friday night.
