Jamaicans to stay in Tottori, Japan for Olympic, Paralympic camps

Jamaica’s teams to the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games will be hosted by the Japanese government ahead of the events in Tokyo later this year.

According to Japan Ambassador to Jamaica, Hiromasa Yamazaki, who was speaking at a National Day Reception on Wednesday, the Jamaicans will stay in the city of Tottori Prefecture.

Tottori Prefecture and the parish of Westmoreland signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in 2015. Tottori have sent runners to Reggae Marathon each year since then, with Westmoreland sending participants for the Tottori Marathon.

The Olympic Games will be held between July 24 and August 9, and the Paralympic Games between August 25 and September 6.
