Jamaican Teas, Palace Amusement led double-digit gains on Wednesday

Jamaican Teas and Palace Amusement led double-digit gains during Wednesday's trading of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
The tea manufacturer Teas gained 10.5 per cent to close at $5.28 followed by Palace up 10 per cent to close at $1205.00, with Caribbean Cement up 6.8 per cent to close at $38.50 and AMG up 6.0 per cent to close at $2.14.
The JSE Combined Index declined by 236.07 points (0.08 per cent) to close at 303,948.41.
The JSE Index declined by 383.73 points (0.13 per cent) to close at 295,372.07. The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index declined by 421.16 points (0.13 per cent) to close at 324,188.17.
The JSE Select Index declined by 36.68 points (0.41 per cent) to close at 8,897.38. The Junior Market Index advanced by 10.84 points (0.37 per cent) to close at 2,966.78.
The JSE USD Equities Index closed at 161.45.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 46 stocks of which 18 advanced, 21 declined and 7 traded firm.
Market volume amounted to 3,969,082 units valued at over $48.6 million. Lasco Distributors Limited was the volume leader with 793,017 units (19.98%) followed by Victoria Mutual with 771,188 units (19.4 per cent) and Proven Investments Limited USD with 510,900 units (12.87 per cent).
